Description:

PestPatrol is a program that is meant to complement your antivirus scanning software and provide additional protection for your system from malicious files. PestPatrol scans the files on your system looking for "pests," which are non-virus files that could contain executable code that is harmful to your system. Examples of pests include files that are hacking utilities intended to exploit your system, trojan horses and worms. When PestPatrol finds a problematic file it alerts you to it and will give you the option of either deleting it from your system or putting it into quarantine to protect the rest of your system files from it.
